QUESTIONS
Any
guidance session should start with recommending that a business
project undergo intensive and lengthy planning and should
deal with a number of questions:
What
skills and professional experience exist and are necessary
to be successful?
What are the conditions in the native country regarding
the business planned?
Where will the start-up capital come from?
What does the family think of the project?
If
initial research and information highlight the deficits and
development needs, advice can be given as to which steps should
be taken before returning. Important aspects in this process
are:
- supporting
returnees in acquiring and improving technical and business
skills;
-
defining the business concept as far as possible;
- building
partnerships in the host country;
- gathering
information on the circumstances in the country of return;
- estimating
the financial and material resources necessary and obtaining
these.
